No, she doesn't have a really good voice but she sings it in a straight forward way and with a good amount of feeling. It's a good effort. My favorite renditions of the Star Spangled Banner are by regular people singing their hearts out regardless of their singing voice. This comes closer to that than any of the established pop or soul singers like Beyonce or Kelly Clarkson that improvise vocal fills and try to "make it their own."

Hayden sings? I thought she was just an actress? Well, She did have guts, and she is so beautiful. I can't beleive she sang, it was okay, it really was. Nothing wrong with her version, its not like she butchered it or anything

sorry but she needs to stick to acting.. i mean honestly that was dreadful. and personally i dont give any leniency just becase "shes performing in front of thousands and shes not old enough for her voice to have matured". there are so many girls out there right now that are 10 years old singing in church choirs that could blow her away. i mean singing at the nations capitol is an absolutely amazing opportunity. why not give it to someone who deserves it. that was honestly a joke.

i'm a classical singer so believe it or not i do know a bit about singing. and yes that is when voices mature. and tbh if hers haven't then maybe it's a sign to not be singing...? she can't sing. sorry to all her fans; but i still think she's a fabulous actress

she can't sing. voices mature fully in the late teens to early twenties. she's just not that good, s'all. however her acting skills are of a very high calibre

Well, she's a beauty, but she shouldn't sing big songs, U know what I mean. It was too much for her. She ended well, but the beginning wasn't that good. Her voice isn't so powerful.

you guys need to realize that it ISN'T going to be on key with the ORIGINAL version of the national anthem. She made it her own and it sounded good that way. I'm sure if she would've sang it normal, she would've done good. But she made it different, you can tell by the music that it wasn't like the real version. She wasn't off key according to the music.
