I put this video in the education category because I think it's educational. It teaches people what can go wrong with wisdom teeth, because I think anything/everything that could go wrong, DID go wrong with mine!

The minimal bleeding, swelling, pain, and total lack of bruising I was referring to was post surgery. I didn't mean that's why they were removed.

I had some decay on all 4 teeth. Because of their positioning I was unable to clean them properly. The top 2 had deep decayed pits on the side that almost met the gumline. The bottom two were partially impacted.

I just had all four of my wisdom teeth removed on the 26th. I'm 30 years old. The bleeding was minimal. The swelling was minimal. The pain is negligable. I haven't had any bruising. Sounds good right? Wrong!

The left side of my tongue is numb. I knew this was a risk, but you never think it's going to happen to you. I'm desperately hoping that my Lingual nerve wasn't seriously damaged during the procedure. This sensation (or lack of sensation I suppose) is awful. It's even affecting my speech.

I Had Wisdom Teeth Surgery About 2 years Ago. They Found All 4 Wisdom Teeth Were Infected!! A Tooth Next To Each Wisdom Tooth Was Also Infected. So They Removed 8 Teeth During The Surgery. They Put Me On Bed Rest for 5 days.They wrote Me RX For Vicodin,Tylonel With Codine, 800 Mil. Ibu. Last But Not Least Penisulin For The Infection. My Jaw Was Sore For A Week. It Took Almost 24Hrs To Stop The Blood From Leaking From The Surgical Areas.

dont worry guys, its no problem. im 17 and i had 4 impacted wisdom teeth taken out this morning, i dont even need painkillers, except for an occasional advil

I'm so not looking forward to get them removed.. I dunno why I watch these tapes of ppl getting their wisdom teeth removed .. I guess it's in the belief that I will find one person who says it wasn't bad at all.. ... seems like everybody has at least 3 day of pain... ye had reached 4? 5?.... wish me luck:S ^^

please dont tell me this! I am scared to death!! I have two of them poking through and they are both very very close to nerves like you said... I have to get a septoplasty done on my nose right before this too.... SCARED! good story though

got mine out tuesday..just letting u guys know its not fun lol...i dont take medicine cause idk i dont like it..personally i havent taken advil in over 4 yrs but once the novacine wore off the day of the surgery i had to pop a codine lol the pain is terrible but after the first day i have gone 2 with no medicine....best of luck to you guys

Seriously, I'm just praying the dentist office spontaniously goes out of business before I have to have my surgery!

i got mine pulled and im 13 =/ it sucks and i look like a chipmonk im alergic to vicodin and i have trouble taking pills this sucks.

i got all 4 wisdom teeth pulled on friday. vicodin made me puke the second day, not fun! im in so much pain i cant even stand it right now and to make things worse, i have to move into school on friday. NEVER get them out if you dont have to! id rather die, seriously.

i got the same thing but mine aint got a bone on it. i gotta stay up during the surgery cause i cant afford the 5000$ that they want for the full 4 teeth plus anestesia. i just gotta go with the nos. Great. im gonna be deleriuos and sore at the same time.

I had all 4 pulled yesterday. It's not so bad, and I was worried. Recovery has been a breeze, and of course, you don't feel a thing during the procedure.

You'll be fine. The surgery is a piece of cake, especially if you get sedated. All I remember is thinking "hmm I don't feel sleepy at all." the next thing you know I was seeing colours, furniture in the air and literally thought I was on a ride at Disneyland. Towards the end I began to wake up and has trouble realizing that i was even in surgery. It's the recovery that sucks. Unless you get lucky and find the right painkillers for you.

Just had all 4 pulled yesterday. They were deeply impacted, laying sideways and crowning under my 2nd molars. I was at a higher risk for nerve damage too. So the actual operation was easy and painless and I felt like I was in a dream world. But the recovery has been KILLER. YEsterday I vomited 24/7 from too much pain (even with vicodin + penocillin.) Haha as for the movies so far I've watched the parent trap transformers cinderella pearl harbor and just getting started!

Just had all four out this morning. So far so good. Haven' t even needed vicodin so far. Three advil every four hours good enough for me. Ice it down too!

that crap hurt a lot and i only got 2 out so far. my left ones are still in my mouth and hurt right now... thats y im looking at this lol. i almost fainted in the chair when i got the right ones out. the dentist had to stop cuz my heart rate was going nuts. sooo fun...

Following up on my last comment. I got back from surgery 6 hours ago. The bleeding has basically stopped and i've been eating jello for a few hours. I was given vicodin and damn, was it strong. it knocked me out after like 10 minutes. I'm very sorry to hear about what happened to you, and I'm glad you're alright.

Brave girl, I got one out yesterday, impacted & infected & the root had a "hook" so the dentist had to slice it out piece by piece "like Salami" he said. but its done now so happy days.

LOL! crazy story!!! You're a trooper for everything you went through! I just had all four taken out on monday, and i still cant feel some of my lower lip.. when did you get all the feeling back?

aww omg thats terrible! i hope your okay now :/ trust me, it could be alllottt worse. i got mine out today, and i feel okay. its a bit sore, and i have a really sore throat so its hard to swallow. i hope thats normal lol. but yeah haha. thanks for sharing so i knew what the dangers were!

ahah well i got em removoed. im sittin on the couch with icepacks. =/ it wasnt as bad as i expected. :) and all 4 of mine were inpacted. omg. ouch. viciden is my new best friend

Well I got it done earlier today, and I'm doing fine now that the numbness has passed. I'm just a little tired. Should I still expect my face to swell even though I feel fine now?

I was worried too. You honestly do not have to worry about it-- you just need to keep ice on your cheeks at ALL TIMES. The way I udnerstand it, swelling is a reaction that happens when you neglect keeping ice on your face!
