ha yea mine is coming in 2 weeks, i'm taking a week off work to get my bike broken in.

i keep watching this vid with envy, great riding BTW. haven't got mine yet. it looks/sound like you are pegged pretty much from turn 9 through 3. are you doing turn 1&2 all in top gear? i have to imagine the 250R could challenge 600's at the street course where power is less of a factor.

Bridgestone BT090 race tire 140/70-17. Fits just fine. 150 might even work.

I'm thinking of getting a 250R for the track. i can't seem to find any race compound that is 130/70-17 rear. what are you using??

Yea, I'm still breaking mine in... so I havn't pushed mine past about 5,000rpm... and that was only once. Cant wait for 600 miles to be up so i can rev her up out in the country!!!

Runs just fine pegged and bouncing off the rev limiter. Kawi has been making this motor for 20 years. I hope they got it down by now. Should be fine for 5,000 miles of racetrack abuse :)

The little 250 can handle being run near redline just fine! While it isn't the powerhouse that my TL1000 is, it is a lot more fun in the tight twisty stuff.

Man, I don't know if I'll ever race mine... I'm afraid i'm going to break her!! Might just keep her for the street and get on the track when I jump up to a 600...

How does she run when shes strung out that high????

I have Bridgestone BT090 race tires.

Runs great at the top end, but very poorly off of idle and up to 5K rpms. The track is at 3000', so the top end is probably about right, but the bike does need to be rejetted. I would not recommend running with stock jetting.

How does the area p run with the stock jetting? I just put on my area P full sysytem but haven't been able to ride it because it's been raining here.
