Seth Davis at one time was the world's fastest drummer, and still holds the title of one of the world's fastest drummers from the WFD competitions. Here he plays some Buddy Rich influenced music, and then does some insane single stroke playing and gives some tips. Be sure to note the stick height/wrist action/power he has during the single strokes. it's nuts.

Hey guys thanks for the awesome comments, you are the best... Unfortunately, I went back home today to see what Gustav did to Houma and it isn't too good... A huge tree slammed into my house and did catastrophic damage to it. Hot damn! WTF! That's insane! I really wish he would go into what muscles he's using cause I can do pretty fast single stroke rolls for a limited amount of time, but that shit is ridiculous.

I wish he would break down what muscles he's using, how he's using them, and how you can maintain the technique going around the drums. I can go fast, but only on one drum with a lot of rebound. I wanna know how to maintain stick control and power around the kit! Any suggestions?

Yes I do have a drumometer pad and no I don't follow it closely enough to know this guy won once. Also I ended up at this video though another one, I have no interest in promoting my video. I only put it up so a couple of people could see it.
