ray gets it. thanks for the epiphany.
Triple Bottom Line. It is the way business is being run now in this case, and will change slowly in each business.
people wouldn't be complacent if it werent for fuck wads like you. They would be active. they would be chopping the fucking head off of your body you bitch!
no its not!
You ungrateful cur! You should be down on your kneees, PRAYING to the corporation not to fire your hippie ass! Here's a nickel's worth of free advice buddy - it's beatniks and hippies like YOU that are on the way out, NOT the corporate system that makes use of your otherwise wasted sack of organs.

Then I understand it's a win-win. You got a problem with profit?
You need to understand the only reason Ray is getting this to work is that at the end of the day it will be profitable.
The end of "The Corporation" will offer sustainability. Private control of resource extraction and production must end. The tyranny of the Corporation should be replaced with democratic, worker-owned non-corporations. Ending wealth controling the means of production through Corporations. Forty-hours per week within the economic tyranny of the Corporation is in contradiction to democratic principles. Systemic changes such as employee-elected managers offers hope for sustainabile communities.
Don't thank god, thank Ray Anderson. He's the one who deserves the credit!
Read the book, Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. Ray Anderson has.
Check out "The Natural Step". Most of what he is saying is based on their Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development.
The freefall metaphor will stay with me...
Thank God for men like him.
This is a segment of fantastically insightful documentary called, The Corporation.
Wow, great video, hope we can trust him...
Ray Anderson for President...
What a great lecture. I am going to have to watch this video now. :>
Thank you Doug for your comments and the referal. I am working with Ray and Interface through my affiliation with Fairleigh Dickinson University's Institute for Sustainability. You might also want to review the SKN Channel on YouTube for more Sustainability Relevant favorite videos.
Ray Anderson's point are well taken. Sadly most of the corporate sector is not paying much attention to this aspect of corporate performance ... and nor is leadership in politics either. Peter Burgess ... the Transparency and Accountability Network (tr-ac-net dot org)

that flying metaphor is nice.
I wish R Anderson was on on Bush's good ole boys
Interesting.
The best argument for sustainability is not one of moralizing, but the simple fact that it's certainly in the long-term interest of humanity to minimize the resources required to create the highest standard of living, which is one that gives us the greatest control over our environment, with the least permanent imprint on it. We've learned to maximize our technology pretty well so far, now it's just a matter of introducing the 2nd part.
This is typical of the great stuff coming from Ray. Ray really walks the walk with his company Interface. I should know, I work for them. They are trying to become a sustainable company by 2020. An initiative they call "Mission Zero". For more on Interface and Ray listen to my podcast "Sustainable Business Practices" which can be found at sbpradio.com. I have a full speech from Ray there in the archives back in January 23 2006. Have a listen and give me your thoughts. Doug Pilgrim
Kudos to your Mr.Anderson...keep up the good work!! I hope there will be more CEO's who realised what they've done is devastating to the planet and start opening up their mind. Good job!! =D
