If you think you can just live life, and try to avoid making mistakes- that's just impossible. People make choices. They make up what is good and bad by their on social perception. First off its hard to take someone talking about society seriously when they have 'Naruto" in their name. Secondly, I'm assuming you're talking about American (U.S.) society. On that note I would like to point out that American culute has been mostly the same for several years and pushes to change anyhting in our culture involving love, relationships, and sex have been gradual. NOTHING happened over night. What you see today is the result of social evolution.

You should shut up. Stop trying to use advice related to god because there is no proof of god. God is something that is a "primal" instinct, were all born with it and some of us grow mature enough to start believing in ourselves, and not in imaginary comforters(I don't really care for your prespective on this so don't talk of it). Yes, I really suppose that we should guess on who we are compatible with right? We shouldn't experiment at all through dating, right?

People don't realize that Islam seeks to prevent any sort of pre-marital relations. It seeks to prevent them before they even occur--this is God's law. People think that "this is how people are supposed to live; you know, with all the dating and materialsim". They're wrong, God has set a way for us all to live the right, clean way, and his message has been spread already. People think dating and having lots of fun is good but society is better off preventing these things in the first place.

wow, I went through the same ordeal with my ex-gf ... we decided that we needed to explore more about relationships outside of our own. We were together for 4 yrs, I wanted to propose, but something held me back. Finally we talked, and the only thing that we could finally agree on was... "If we truly loved each other, we would let each other go" Next day, I moved out and haven't talked to her or seen her.. so I knew it would have been to be with her. Good luck!

Arin, I know you're hopelessly in love or whatever, but Susan is immature, pretentious, and reminds me of all the girls in high school that convinced me that they were some kind of emotionally distressed enigma that you had to unlock the key to. I think true love is simply being four eyed monsters. If you really want to be into a long-lasting relationship, it won't last if it's all based on emotion towards one aother. It isn't about you, or the other person- it's about the commitment of looking at the same direction. You aren't looking at each other, but looking at the same place- being one. Four eyes, toward one commitment. Four eyed monsters. :P

Kirk, I'm not convinced total dedication is the way to a healthy, happy relationship. You will end up in a situation, where you can only be happy by proxy; and that just sounds unhealthy to me. Being individuals, we can never rid ourselves of our egos; so you will have to find the balance between the two to get it to work. Simply dismissing yourself for the good of the other will simply not work.

The problem I see here is both people are looking at the relationship as something for themselves. The other person thusly becomes a tool towards happiness and should you find yourself unhappy (which everyone does) then it makes sense to find another tool for happiness..

In a healthy relationship it isnt about you it is about the other person and the giving of yourself to the other person 100%. They in turn do the same and thusly it is the happiness of the other person that matters.
