| I don't want to be rude, BUT if being gay/bi/trans is frowned upon by lots of society, and is a VERY hard and risky life for many to live, then why would they "choose" to be that? You wouldn't purposefully choose a life that's so much more difficult for you than a "normal" one. These people are doing what makes them happy because that's what their brain tells them to do. It's more a subconscious pattern of thought, that one really can't control. |

(Leviticus 19:27) "...and the swine, though it divides the hoof...is unclean to you." (Lev 11:7) "But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales...they are an abomination to you." (Lev 11:10) There are practical reasons for such rules. They were not put in place for spirituality. |

| I, too, pretended to be "normal" for some years, even got engaged. I stopped short of having "straight sex", and thank God I never actually married. Eventually it became easy not to fain interest in the opposite sex. Who would benefit from the charade? If anyone asks "are you gay?", I have answered "why? Are YOU gay?". Usually that is followed by a decided "NOOOO!" Then I drive it home by saying "if you WERE gay, would it be any of MY business?" |

| OK Since when did sports and changing oil and playing sports change your sexuality? I think that people, specifically in conservative communities are happy in their ignorance sadly this effects those that arnt. People need to understand that its a part of the person, not just some facade that that puts on. And these "ex-gay" groups seem to try and eliminate personal stereotypes of femininity rather than the sexual preferences themselves. Besides we are who we are. |
