I don't carry one (no concealed permit), but there is more than one weapon in my home. Our gun-related deaths are tragic, yes. But I think we're too far "over the cliff" at this point in terms of "market penetration" and the moral zeitgeist of Texans for the outright ban of handguns to be feasible (IF that is a good option). The best you can hope for is intelligent regulation (background checks etc).
Okay. Two more questions. Do YOU personally carry a firearm? And what do you think of the high rate of firearm deaths in AMERICA, whereas Canada has much less murders per capita because of banned handguns?
Guns: The short answer is "yes". Self-defense, etc etc, but it's complicated. Example: I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not I think it's a good idea to allow concealed weapons (w/permits, background checks etc) on college campuses. I can see promise and peril either way. Death penalty: NO! Our justice system is far from perfect, and I think the possibility of mistakenly executing an innocent person is too great a risk.
RabidApe, Just a quickie, As a Texan, do you support gun carrying and capital punishment?
dude. do you do Goodreads or only video-life. lotsa true un/believers there:->!
Interesting results. I was interested in Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich at the beginning of this election. The obvious choice is Obama/Biden for me. 1. Theoretical Ideal Candidate (100%) 2. Ron Paul (concedes nomination not possible) 3. Barack Obama 6. Hillary Clinton (defeated, endorsed Obama) 11. Joseph Biden (withdrawn) 12. Dennis Kucinich (withdrawn) 21. John McCain

Alright, I admit it, I'm a moron and an asshole. Last night, I didn't notice the link at the top of the ad pages until I hit the last page. Today, I checked out the poll again and saw the link right away. I apologize for being such an ass. I definitely earned #4.

My response is yours, friend <3 *pokes*
1) I recorded the video as I went through the list FOR THE FIRST TIME, and had no idea there would be ads. 2) Plenty of people, myself included, managed to figure out how to get to the results 3) If you know of a similar poll that sucks less, you are invited to share it with us (as noted in the video description) 4) Fuck you, too /rant
I dig your videos, RabidApe, but I have to add a sincere "Fuck You" for directing people to a poll that requires you to click through a bunch of pages with ads just to see their results. I think that's a very shitty thing for all involved (you, the poll creator, and the poll hoster). Do you or you friend get a cut of the ad revenue? Is that why the poll is hosted there? I know you're broke, but that doesn't mean you have to resort to those kinds of gimmicks. At least be up front about it.

2.Barack Obama (74%) 3. Ralph Nader (71%) 5. Cynthia McKinney (68%) 18. John McCain (35%) 21. Bob Barr (32%) Not surprised about this, though I suppose Bob Barr should have been higher, I guess he's probably a very borderline Libertarian.
Huh. I got Nader as being higher than Bob Barr. I guess I'm really liberal in this election. My first choice was actually Kuccinich, though he's only 9th on my matches (probably the "I'd prefer someone new" thing. That, and they didn't have a question for "Do you think Cheney should fry for what he's done" position. Heh.) Barack Obama was at 76%
lmao! that's funny how Obama and McCain only have a 6-point spread for you.
1. Theoretical Ideal Candidate (100%) 2. Stephen Colbert (campaign halted) (60%) 3. John McCain (59%) 11. Barack Obama (53%) 16. Bob Barr (50%) A moot survey though, considering I'm Canadian...
What a cool little contest BTW, I had fun taking the questions at least :D

The point at which the Dune series starts sucking is when Frank's kids started adding prequels. 1. Theoretical Ideal Candidate (100%) 2. Dennis Kucinich (withdrawn) (81%) 3. Barack Obama (79%) 4. Ralph Nader (79%) 5. Cynthia McKinney (73%) 19. Mike Huckabee (withdrawn) (28%) 20. John McCain (25%) Odd that I match with Obama as much as Nader, and that I match more with Huckabee than McCain.
Indeed! Also, many of the questions I put neither or left the boxes unchecked, because I didn't know very much about the issue or it didn't seem relevant.
Thanks for doing this one. I liked the survey. But I gotta tell you that was quite a product whoring session. Folks, do yourself a favor and skip right to the results. lol 1. Theoretical Ideal Candidate (100%) 2. Barack Obama (84%) Information link 10. Joseph Biden (withdrawn) (70%) Information link 11. Al Gore (not announced) (69%) Information link 19. John McCain (35%) Information link
Yup. That's the reason I posted this! Those results don't necessarily mean that Ron Paul isn't "your candidate". This is perhaps cause for further investigation and/or reflection. :P
