this makes me thrilled to practice more! you are a awesome pianist! dont give up! god bless!
some music teacher you have o.O
Not true at all. The reason he/she said that is probobly because Chopin hardly ever wrote bold music or music for ochestras. He was very much devoted to the piano. He was a very serious composer. He was and still is one of the most influential composers of all time.
one of my music teachers said that chopin was just a minor composer whose works did not influenced the piano...
OMG this is the most beautiful piano song like ever played!!
Yes, beautifully played, but "drama" is part of the emotion that needs to be added to this piece. Remember when was written...
Simply, perfect playing!
Beautifully played, but the thing about this piece is it's so beautiful on it's own that if you take the emotion in your playing too far it starts to sound almost.. Well, silly. Over dramatic. I love the fact that he shows his joy in playing not through the music instead of facial expressions (thank God SOMEONE does), but I think perhaps he strays just a little too far at some points in the beginning. Just a personal preference though, extremely well played piece.
It understands without making it puzzled to the image if its eyes are shut without the performance relation of whom and it listens. He might be a genius pianist. It has not learnt piano, and I think it is impossible if it is not a skill considerably to perform this tune though I am a complete amateur. The technology with so high super-difficulty might be demanded.
Well, I like it much better than Yundi Li's interpreation, yet, I suggest you listen to Rachmaninov playing this nocturn, it's also available on youtube. That is true art! Both Yundi and DongHyek have to learn a lot, and they both have time for it :)

yeap! he sure was adored by the high class ladies of Paris and most of all, great feminist writer Goerge Sand :)
jajajaja
i think Chopin with these songs had lots of great chicks!
hes too young to expresse this peice to the fullest. Lots of love experience helps.
I love this, its so...perfect my chest feels so heavy yet Im smiling at the same time I also long Dong Hyek's interpretation of October by Tchaikovsky
este tio es la puta makinaaaaa!!jajaja
u dont kno wat the hell u r talkin bout
i bet chopin played piano like he fucked no joke it starts off beautiful and elegant and slow he gets faster and more beautiful then slows down to let you recover just keep it in mind during the song not chopin fucking but you and a lover quite romantic actually
such a beautiful song. i wish i could play it that well! great job!
This song is passion and sadness all in one. It envelopes you both like a warm blanket.
chopin is like bellini.. LOOOONG melodies;) I love them both. lim is a great pianist.
chopin is best...i love him,but my favourite nocturne is 8th 4ever. best melody i've heared in my life..
that is the hard part.
this is a melody so perfect and real it feels almost like an inherent part of life. no knowing this is not to live.
i like the look of flat fingers, makes it look much more relaxed... but i got this problemo in my right hand, i hook my pinky :(
horowitz did also play flat fingered... I think there is no "rule", if it sounds good, it does not matter how you play...
that's correct. he plays flat-fingered, which is unusual.
exelente
Ahhhhh....wonderful. Thank you.
love this so much romance & sadness at the same time
probably the best version of this song i've ever heard..a lot of ppl make it too loud or too soft...he's got beautiful hands
Errm - There are no extant recordings of Chopin's playing. He died in 1849; a long time before sound recording and some time before the recording player piano were invented. This is certainly a very fine version of the piece, though. I admire his trill playing and excellent rubato technique. I think that Chopin would have liked this.
i'm going to play it. :)
I've got this song (Original version by Chopin) on mp3, i listen to it nearly everyday and this interpretation differs a bit, but in a very good way. 10+/10
You must also listen other pieces of Chopin I think
He is one of the best Chopin pianists of our time
Well played, no question about that. Check Rachmaninoff playing this piece here on YT though - the age (life experience), the cultural heritage, pure musical talent etc. make quite a different interpretation. It is a matter of small nuances - the art of the finger tips.
i am not a pianist nmyself but i have heard this piece more than a 100 times from different pianists and this one is way better than others...
Beautiful! Absolutely Amazing!
Amazing performance. I really am moved. Aside the fact that this might be the best classical piece ever made. Still so sad...
Ive always believed this is the most beautiful melody ever written.
This song makes me think of my father who used to play this piece. It moves me to tears.
