David beckham is a good soccer player an all but he wouldnt be an amazing nfl player. he basicly kicked off less than 60 yards. (not so great for a guy at that age), but hes ok.

he take way too many steps, it would be blocked everytime. thats why i got the job for my highschool, the other kid could kick about 5 yrds farther than me, but half of his got blocked cause he took 5 steps instead of 3

some nfl kickers before they started playing football played soccer that's why there really good at kicking

Waaaaaaay to many steps for Becks. Maybe 2 yards back and 1-2 to the side. Then take one step plant and kick. He was good though, just too many steps.

dud shows how much you know about football, dont talk about reggie bush, just cause he does the most commercials doesnt mean hes the best actually hes horrible, and im sorry but even a nobody in the nfl can get laid every night no prob and i used to play soccer and it is fun but football is way better sorry its the truth in soccer its fun deakin out people n getting goals but you dont test strength and there is a lot of thinking but coaches in the nfl have to think way more than a soccer coach

reggie bush is talented no doubt, but football doesnt require as much talent as soccer.. no doubt. oh and we can see now that any good soccer player can kick a footbal at a reasonably nfl punter level. plain and simple, dont hate but if you want more look from the girls, i personally think soccer works better than footbal. DONT FIGHT ABOUT IT ITS A REALITY THEY'RE ONLY SPORTS AFTER ALL. anyways, when america moves from football to soccer, chis only ina few years, YOULL REMEMBER ME.

Kickers have to ATTEMPT to make an occasional tackle. But it's rare. And when it happens, they get absolutely demolished/embarrassed, and made to look like an invalid.

Kickers have to do more than just kick the ball. They need to be able to take the odd hit now and then and even make the occassional tackle.

Well said,im like you i never played american football before but when i went over last year i watched it,asked questions about it,and had a little game on the beach. Most people on here slag off a sport without actually playing that sport.I play football a lot(soccer) so its always nice to try a new sport out,and i got told my kicking was good when i played it on the beach. Shame we didnt learn more sports in school

dude have u seen a game played after 1989? Jesus, can u people just cut out the nationalistic our-sport-is-better-than-your-sport bullshit? I played football thru college, and never played a game of soccer in my life. But you know what? I can watch a game, I can get into a came, and i can certainly see that you gotta have skillz and tons of athleticism to play that game. Both sports require people at the top of the athletic world to make it to the pros.

hard to tell from the camera angle but looks like he's kicking from the 25 or the 35... so it'd be a 35 or 45 yard kick. I think... hard to tell.

That would be great PR for the NFL if Beckham signed on to kick for a team in the NFL.. he seems like he'd be better than a lot of FG kickers in the league now. I dont know how he'd be at kick-offs thats the only thing.

I played DT and DE for my uni team and it was piss easy. There are more tactics for the coach to deal with, but a player has the option "left or right???" Football on the other hand is rooted in natural ability, mental speed and physical fitness. All I will say is that American Football you need maybe one of the three to play pro.
