You posted this message 10 months ago. Imagine if you had spent these 10 months learning to read sheet music and practicing on the piano, not only would you be able to play this lovely Nocturne but other harder pieces as well. You have many more 10 months to come, what are you waiting for?
This is beautiful! I'm trying to learn this song too, just started.
This is reeaally good! I'm trying to learn it but I can't really get past the first 20 bars or so haha
the sound is beautiful because is an electronic piano yamaha clp 990 clavinola. this is not an acoustic piano. Anyway the sound and playing are very nice.
jeez thats what i was thinking. What Piano are you using?? The sound that it makes is far superior to the sounds that my piano makes.
Not only was the playing beautiful, the sound and video quality was exceptional!
Wonderful.
C - 5 Bb - 4 or 3 A - If you used 4 on Bb then you'd use 3 or 1. If you used 3, go for 1. Ab - 2 A - 1 C - 5 Depends on how big/small your hand is and what is more comfortable. I might use 5,3,1,2,1
I don't think a "how to play" will be easy to do. The sheet music is a tight three pages. And if you can't read sheet music then you won't spend the time to try to learn to trill, play grace notes, and jump smoothly with the left hand without making it sound like staccato. Really well played by the way. Just one question: I can't figure out the right way to play the turn; is this right? C [Bb A Ab A] high C and fingering: 5 [4 3 2 1] 5 Thanks!
This is good can anybody make a how to play of this cause i really want to play it but i can't read sheet's. Please.
-The rhythm of this piece isn't the "Oom, pa, pa,". The chords of the left hand are not meant to be staccato. If Chopin wanted that he would have written it in 3/4 or 6/8. Basically, it's a nocturne, not a waltz, so don't make it sound like a waltz.
-Follow the pedaling in the music. -Your ornaments, particularly the beginning turn and that Eb^6 arpeggio, could be slower. They'll sound prettier that way. It's also fun to play these fast, but being such a delicate piece, it will sound out of place.
Some things I would look out for: ! Play what's written ! -Tempos - not rushing in some of the passages, it's fun to play them fast, but I wouldn't advise it because it's not what Chopin wrote, and he's very accurate interpreting what he wants on the page. -That being said, also watch his articulation markings and phrasing. You lead the melody very nicely but it's not all legato.
Two words - Carpal tunnel. I hope you will try to change your hand placement, because I enjoyed listening to this recording and I hope to hear more in the future. I have some constructive criticisms and suggestions for you, I won't be mean I promise ;-), but I think you could go very far with this piece.
Thanks. As i see you also uploaded a version of this piece. I'll take a look soon ;)
Hi. I answered the question in the response to your message. I also updated my profile so everybody can see it. I first played this piece a half year after i started to play the piano. Then i did a few other pieces, for example Nocturne op. 9 - 1, and practised again for about one week before i recorded this video.
Perfect... That`s Chopin. But...maybe a little slower... You have it, the Chopin feeling...
I wish I could play like that. How long have you been playing?
Bass is weak and you may get better recording from your nice upright (and acoustic) with a better microphone or better placement.
beautiful playing...
Surely my "poor instrument" cannot render this sound. But my personal computer which is connected via midi interface is able to render it realtime with a VST-instrument. If i had the money i would prefer a real grand piano, but i don't have it, yet!
You suck! Sound is from a grand piano! I'm really lol! your poor instrument cannot render the sound of a grand! Stop annoying people and come try my Steinway Model D..
that was beautiful! Thank you!
it's very beautiful...it makes me cry...X_x
Very well done. :)
B R A V O !!!!!
good job, but like meneltar said, never leave the bass staccato. people like to hear the main melody more so than the bass. And also, don't speed up as fast as you did in some parts. good job though.
NEVER leave the basses "staccato". Try to do it in a more calm, gently way. It's already very good, but you can do very better.
...beautiful. i really enjoyed it.
