Everybody has one, but you have to admit: The Slinky is a pretty dumbass toy. Especially if (like me) you don't have stairs. I mean, geeze, I've got a $100 performance yoyo and I think Slinky's are boring. :/

Someone needs to invent some tricks for this thing...

i had a slinky once and i wanted to see what would happen if you threw it down the stairs (the poor slinky must get bored of walking or slinkying down them) so i threw it down and it got all twisted up and i could never un-twistifyy it, i had killed my slinky love this advert though!!

I and my sisters had several of these between us. Stairs in our home became rather hazardous for a week but then the novelty wore off.
I remember I stretched mine out straight to see how long it was and mangled it.
I don't know what happened to it after that because I dropped it somewhere and forgot about it.

I've always loved the Slinky, except I could never get them to work right and they'd just fall down the stairs in a heap. And they would always get tangled up, but that's probably because I usually get the cheap plastic ones they sell these days. Ripoffs. I want the original Slinky from the 1960s, decades before I was born.

Oh, there was never a more traumatizing experience in my childhood than when my dear Slinky tangled up. A hollow shell of it's former self you might say. For a Slinky without that famous slink was just a useless coil of metal, rusting away at the depths of your toy box. Never again to see the light of day or to bring the smile to the children as it once did... But then I got a new one and it was okay LOL! (Actually about 15 new ones...lol...)

Slinky's are like Bugs Bunny cartoons...they are made *by* adults *for* adults. It's like buying a box of Cap'n Crunch cereal...ya KNOW ya just can't let go of it just becuase you're not a kid anymore.
