| I've seen soap scripts and they contain mostly dialogue, which the actors can adjust during taping as long as they don't go too far off. Rarely are there detailed behavioral directions. It will say, "Luke and Noah kiss," but won't say, "Luke touches Noah's ears while kissing." Van adds the unwritten affectionate details by asking, "What would a horny 18 y/o do?" Similarly, Beck should ask, "What would Lily do?" Instead Beck makes Lily completely new, without a history, i.e. of maternal love |

Soap scripts, written daily at breakneck speed, are not detailed. The actors need to add something. Van excels at this, as did Martha. Read my comment about a nuanced performance. Trent Dawson was given a very limited lines yet he did so much with Henry that the role was made permanent. Google him. Beck adds nothing to Lily. |

Here are examples where Beck is to be blamed: 1) When Luke got home from NYC, Beck gave him a cold 2 second hug. Would a worried mother do that? Watch how Byrne hugged Luke in the past. 2) Just a day after returning, the girls wanted to talk but she told them to leave so that she can seduce Holden. The tone was cold and dismissive. No hug. These were Beck's interpretations. |

Anyone can memorize lines but few can portray the essence of a character. Martha Byrne was always motherly, even toward the end. You don't seem to understand how a script works. Read Van's entry about improvising during taping. Read acting manuals on the use of vocal tone and body language. Don't blame the writers. |

| hi nukeoakdale, u know i love u.esp for your hard work uploading all this soaps. i must say i like noelle, she is pretty and i think she is well suited with holden,better than martha. this is my opinion okay. i know wat u said about superficial, i think i am basing my likeness for noelle based her looks. u cant blame me and the others she is well pretty. i like her.nice bone structure, sometimes it good for us to see a fresh face. its all the good for the show. i still love u though. friends. |

| It's great to see Luke & Noah finally happy and together :D But it feels like we're gonna have the homophobic-nasty-disturbing-Dad thing one more time. I'd rather see Nuke interact with younger people, you know, and live "normal" teenagers lives, without all the drama, but it's a soap, after all... What about bringing this Kevin back ? That would be exciting, and Noah would learn more things about Luke's past ! Thank you for this video ! :D |
