Most kids are more talented than many adults give them credit for ... I mean kids are like sponges, they could learn things much more difficult than one'd think. So there are actually plenty of young talents out there.

Ha Ha! Now I like this scheme... you want people to watch the video all the way through!! With nowadays attention spans of maximum 1.5 seconds I wonder if your generous words will work with people. I have taught this piece to a brilliantly talented 16 y.o. girl who got a scholarship because of my teaching. You play it about the same standard as her... what, at age 7 !!!!!!! How many more Piano geniuses are there on YouTube, I wonder! Big Congratulations!

That is incredible playing. Opus 9-2 is probably my favorite Chopin Nocturne. I like the Mass shirt; thats where I live. I am wondering; did you by chance get your piano at Darrel's Music Hall in Nashua, NH? Anyway, good luck on the piano, and good luck donating to the earthquake victims in China.

Well I am not really there yet, so Ill climb the ladder. I would have used 20-30hours just remembering the piece, and another 50 to do it half as good as charlie, but maby in a couple of years I can pick it up as easy as he did :D I hope =)

He probably spent somewhere b/w 10 to 20 hrs practice + 1-1.5 hrs of lesson on the piece. 2/3 of practice time he used his teacher's book on the piece (ISBN:073901661X) and it marked the fingering, tricky parts, how to practice & polish, and it helped much. His teacher joked that since Charlie learned so fast, she's gonna use his video as an ads for her book. If you're learning it yourself, I highly recommend a book like hers.

How long do Charlie use on a piece like this?? I have as I said playd for 4 months, started it and used 2 hours memorising the 4-5 first bars, and another 2 hours to practice them to a fair(beginner-amature) level.
I have no experience with the type of chordjumps like in this piece =)

That's exactly our intention. We hope to make people see that many kids as cute as Charlie is became disabled/orphaned in the earthquake, and they really need help.

Although Charlie didn't have enough time polishing the piece, he learned it quite fast and put his heart into it.

Well, you might be right, but for my ears who have playdvand enjoyed piano total for 4 months without teacher, I cant really tell these things ;)
