Years ago they'd just give you whisky. Probably not the best thing since alcohol thins your blood and you bleed a bit after having a tooth pulled. Perks will definilty numb the pain!

they gave me valium, laughing gas and shots of novocain. i didn't feel a thing, and in fact thought it was hillarious the whole time. Afterwards i got a bottle full of percoset. All in all, it was awesome.

doesn't look that bad, i am getting a molar extracted in 2wks and am scared as hell!!! never had anything of the sort done. Most painful thing i've had is a root canal. You've made me feel better!!! =)

I just had 4 of mine out 3 hours ago. The entire process took 10 minutes I swear!!! I know because I was listening to my mp3 player and the timer said 10:05. They gave me 6 shots of lidocaine in my jaw, which I hardly felt at all I swear. The first one I was like, what was that? The doc said that was a shot of lidocaine. I laughed. Then the actual extraction of the teeth was nothing. You hear some weird noises and some weird smells, but no pain at all. Trust me I was terrified. After I laughed.
